Learn more at concentricusa.com. Job Summary The Field Technician, Motive Power, is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing motive power equipment. This position conducts basic troubleshooting, field and shop repairs, and responds to customer needs. This position reports to the Regional Service Manager and does not have any direct reports. Key Job Responsibilities: * Reliable attendance and punctuality. * Work safely, follow all safety regulations, including site specific safety regulations established by * customers. * Perform routine preventative maintenance. * Coordinate problem resolution with Technical Support, Customer Service, Sales, and other * personnel to expedite repairs. * Travel to other branches or sites, as required, to assist with product installation, removal or * repairs (some overnight travel will be required). * Comply with company policies and procedures. These include but are not limited to warranty, * safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT and Hazmat. * Build strong relationships with customers. * Take ownership of all company assets, including but not limited to vehicles, inventory, tools, and * equipment. * Troubleshoot battery and charger systems. * Perform repairs at customer locations and Concentric shops. * Respond to client needs in a timely manner, while applying great customer service. * Complete all service orders, PM worksheets, timecards, expense reports, and any documentation * as required, in an accurate and timely manner. * Work independently or with a team in a professional manner. * Other duties as assigned by supervisor Key Performance Measurements: * A score card that reflects performance in areas such as safety, efficiency, work order completion, customer satisfaction, and issue resolution. * Exercises a high degree of time management skill, resulting in greater than 90% time billable to customers. * Management observation regarding attitude, diligence, team contributions, and willingness & ability to learn new skills and information. * Other key performance measurements as determined by the direct supervisor. Requirements: * High School or GED required. * Certification from a technical school focused on electrical, mechanical repair or battery * maintenance preferred. * Associate degree from an approved two-year college or university, preferred or equivalent * experience. * Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen. * Possess a valid driver's license, CDL a plus but not required. * May be required to pass additional requirements under the Department of Transportation (DOT). * Working knowledge of basic AC and DC electrical/electronic theory. * Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. * Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently, with limited supervision. * Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs, and across * remote offices. * Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers * and to listen effectively to customer needs. * Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer * satisfaction. * Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the * organization. * Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment. * Experience in material handling environment is preferred, but not required. * Willingness to work occasional overtime. * Travel daily, some overnight travel required. Concentric Technicians may need to travel out of state to perform work. The Department of Transportation (DOT) has several requirements for drivers of commercial motor vehicles weighing less than 26,001 pounds who are driving across state lines, including: * Drivers must be at least 18 years old to drive "Intrastate". Drivers must be at least 21 years old to driver "Interstate". * Drivers must have a valid driver's license at all times. * Drivers must have a valid DOT medical card or the ability to obtain DOT medical card per DOT/FMCA guidelines during the hiring process. Drivers must continue to maintain their active medical card status throughout their employment. * Drivers must follow the DOT's HOS regulations. * Drivers must be able to obtain a CDL to drive commercial motor vehicles or combination vehicles weighing more than 26,000 lbs. *This job description is subject to change at any time.
