The Maintenance Technician will be part of a team responsible for the overall maintenance and all areas related to the day-to-day maintenance operations.Essential duties include but are not limited to: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry and painting Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/cabinets, walls and building exteriors Make ready units for new move-insKnowledge of HVAC systems and be able to maintain, repair and replace HVAC systems Responsible for 24 hour emergency maintenance (pre-scheduled times)Must be available to work some weekendsPerform preventative maintenance activities Complete grounds work such as: grounds pick up, sweeping and light landscaping Pool maintenance Coordinate special projects as directed maintenance supervisor or property managerJob Requirements The Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees. Must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions. Must be able to have a strong attention to detail and handle multi-tasking throughout the day. Education/Qualification High School Diploma or GED Previous maintenance experience in multi-family housing.HVAC Certification (CFC certification) & CPOMust have reliable transportation and valid driver's license Ability to pass pre-employment criminal history & drug screen.
