Description

American Traveler is hiring a House Supervisor RN for a night-shift Administrative Nursing Supervisor role at a critical access hospital, requiring WI or compact RN licensure and charge/supervisor experience.

Details

• House Supervisor role at a small, community, critical access hospital that is Level 4 trauma certified and an acute Stroke Ready facility
• Provides clinical backup primarily to the Emergency Department as well as Med Surg/Special Care units
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00
• Required to work every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital as needed

Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required, pending license accepted
• Typically 1 year of specialty experience required
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Charge or supervisor experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: ENPC, NIHSS, SANE
• Skills required: charge experience, conscious sedation, telemetry, triage, vents, leadership
• Leadership experience is a plus
• Minimum of 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
• Required documents: Date of Birth, SSN, copy of certifications, Nursys, and RTO

Additional Information

• Serves as clinical backup leadership for the Emergency Department, Med Surg, and Special Care units
• Candidates must reside at least 100 miles from the facility, with no local radius exception for this position
• Returning staff must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as perm staff or per diem
• RTO ideally limited to no more than 5 days
• First-time travelers may be considered given relevant experience and certifications
