Agency Buyer I

Description The Maryland Aviation Administration (MAA) is the owner and operator of BWI Thurgood Marshall and Martin State Airports, serving over 27 million passengers annually. The Agency Buyer I position is located at BWI Marshall Airport in Anne Arundel County, MD. The Agency Buyer I will support the receipt, storage, distribution, and inventory of supplies and materials ordered into the MAA Warehouse and Mail Room. Responsibilities include: Overseeing daily facility operations, including the secure opening, closing, and operational readiness of the MAA Central Warehouse. Processing incoming product receipts and managing inventory issuance for OPAMM and external contractors. Managing direct calls and communications from various MAA departments to ensure prompt support and inquiry resolution. Handling small‑value procurement actions up to $5,000 using the corporate credit card, including timely reconciliation of monthly financial statements and expense documentation. Managing administrative functions related to receiving and issuing MAA warehouse paperwork. Utilizing specialized MAA inventory software to track, monitor, and manage stock levels and usage patterns to ensure operational readiness. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Five years in receiving, storing, issuing, purchasing, and requisitioning supplies, materials, and equipment; three of those years must have included supervisory or management responsibility or final responsibility for purchasing and requisitioning. One year of that experience must include use of Maximo for inventory control and management. MDOT employee required. Valid motor vehicle operator's license in the State of Maryland is required if the role involves operating a motor vehicle. EEO Statement We are an equal opportunity employer.
