Global Clinical Trial Leader (CTL)

Location: South San Francisco, CA
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Potential of 5% travel domestic
Employment Type: Contract

Are you passionate about advancing groundbreaking therapies from discovery to patients? Zing is seeking an experienced Global Clinical Trial Leader (CTL) to support the execution of complex global Phase I and Phase II clinical studies. This role offers the opportunity to work alongside cross-functional teams driving innovative early development programs with the potential to transform patient outcomes worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead operational execution of global early-phase clinical trials from start-up through close-out
• Provide guidance and support to cross-functional Protocol Execution Teams (PETs)
• Manage CROs and vendors to ensure quality, compliance, and timely delivery of study objectives
• Contribute to protocol feasibility assessments, country and site selection activities
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to proactively address study challenges
• Coordinate investigator meetings and study-related communications
• Oversee trial documentation, including CTMS, TMF, monitoring plans, and vendor deliverables
• Support study budget planning and manage assigned vendor budgets
• Champion process improvements and operational excellence initiatives
• Mentor and support the growth of team members and colleagues

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; scientific or healthcare-related discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and recent, relevant industry experience is required
• Experience managing global clinical studies
• Experience supporting Phase I and/or Phase II clinical trials
• Strong CRO and vendor management experience
• Working knowledge of GCP, ICH guidelines, international regulatory requirements, and the drug development process
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving and risk management capabilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment
