Weekly outpatient therapy isn't always enough, and a trip to the ER isn't the only answer. Patients and their families rely on CompassHealth Center when in crisis – every day, we help people overcome depression, anxiety, suicidality, obsessions/compulsions, trauma, chronic pain, and other obstacles in order for our patients to live freely. About This Role At the core of Compass we believe in the power of community and connection, which is why we are committed to our group-based programming. As a group therapist, you will spend the majority of your time with our patients facilitating evidence-based groups using modalities like CBT, DBT, and ACT. We are seeking new and experienced clinicians with a passion for delivering dynamic and informative groups for our patients. Our location in Northbrook is our first and largest facility, and consists not only of our widest variety of programs, but also serves as a pilot site for many of our new treatment offerings. What You’ll Do Developing and implementing DBT/CBT skill groups, working with ages 8-14 years old Providing crisis intervention and staff support, as needed Developing and documenting treatment plans and weekly update Co-facilitating creative expression and other experiential therapeutic groups Assisting program director in supporting families through phone coaching and follow-up calls Checking in with treatment team about changes and progress for individual patients Providing clinical observations and insights during interdisciplinary meetings Providing individual support to patients, as needed Providing support to other team members in various treatment groups Providing guidance and support for milieu staff during skills and executive functioning therapy activities/instruction Other duties, as assigned Who You Are Master’s in Social Work/Clinical Counseling or other relevant Master’s/Doctoral programs 1+ year of post-Master’s clinical experience, or a relevant master’s level internship Possess a core skill set of Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Experience with patients in crisis, and a strong passion for working within high acuity environments Compensation $47,000 - $65,000 USD Benefits For eligible positions, our other benefits include comprehensive medical/dental/vision plans, 401k program with company matching, generous PTO (including competitive parental leave after 1 year of employment), and continuous training through CEU seminars and volunteering opportunities.
