Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Home Health

Location: Serving Cumming, GA 30040

Job Type: Part-Time (26 Hours/Week)

About the Position

Southern Healthcare Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced  Registered Nurse (RN)to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a pediatric client in the home setting. This part-time position offers a consistent 26-hour-per-week schedule with a long-term opportunity. While the current authorization extends for approximately six months, the case is expected to be renewed, making this an excellent opportunity for a nurse seeking consistent hours and the chance to build a meaningful, lasting relationship with the child and family while providing exceptional, individualized care.

Patient Information

• Female Pediatric Client (DOB: 11/03/2021)
• Diagnosis:  FoxG1 Syndrome

Schedule

• Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Wednesday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
• Thursday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Friday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Total: 26 hours per week Total: 26 hours per week (This is clients preferred schedule, however hours are flexible.)

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled pediatric nursing care in the home
• G-tube care and feedings
• Medication administration
• Ongoing patient assessments and monitoring
• Assist with transfers and mobility using a mobility chair
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with the family and healthcare team to ensure quality care

Qualifications

• Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) License
• Current CPR/BLS Certification
• Pediatric home health experience preferred
• G-tube experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Compassionate, dependable, and family-centered approach to care
• Must be able to safely lift and assist a 5-year-old child (approximately 30–40 lbs.), including transferring the client in and out of a mobility chair and providing physical assistance with daily mobility needs.
