Hiring: Jr. DevSecOps Engineer

Location: Washington, DC – Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

What You'll Work On

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated and consistent software delivery.
• Support progressive deployment strategies such as blue/green and canary deployments .
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using AWS and tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation .
• Containerize applications and support secure, optimized, and patched container images.
• Implement monitoring, logging, vulnerability scanning, and security controls .
• Support security documentation and evidence for ATO (Authority to Operate) processes.
• Apply shift-left security practices, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and policy-as-code .
• Work with modern AI-assisted developer tools as part of the engineering lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers, engineers, and security teams while continuously learning and growing.

Required Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in software development, platform engineering, DevOps, or operations engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell .
• Working knowledge of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with at least one pipeline tool.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud services .
• Familiarity with containerization technologies .
• Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation .
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel .

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to FISMA, NIST SP 800-53, or ATO processes .
• Experience with security/vulnerability scanning tools such as SAST, DAST, SCA, or policy-as-code .
• AWS experience or certification.
• Federal IT experience.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools.
