Dishwasher Position at Canterbury Court

Canterbury Court is looking for a Dishwasher to join our family. This is a full-time position located in the Healthcare Dining Services division of our Life Plan Community (LPC). The Dishwasher must have a sincere desire to serve older adults in a quality continuing care setting and must strive to provide excellence and consistency. • Responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the assigned unit.
• Ensure all established cleaning standards, procedures, and schedules are consistently followed.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, and pans according to established procedures.
• Clean the kitchen daily, including emptying trash, mopping floors, and cleaning kitchen equipment not assigned to other Food Service personnel.
• Receive, organize, and properly store supplies in the storeroom and walk-in freezer.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment in accordance with applicable health and sanitation standards.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks effectively to maximize efficiency and productivity and maintain a high level of mental alertness throughout the workday.
• Must be able to handle breakable equipment carefully and safely while minimizing breakage. The ability to stand and remain physically active for extended periods is essential.
• Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and related systems, including dishwashers, garbage disposals, equipment lowerators, freight elevators, and similar equipment, is required.
• Must demonstrate efficiency, attention to detail, dependability, and a thorough approach to completing assigned duties.
