Overview Occupational Therapist – Acute Care in Devils Lake, North Dakota, United States. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $2,005 to $2,137 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-hour days Start date: 09/14/2026 Setting: Acute care environment (inpatient and/or outpatient) Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations and provide evidence-based treatment plans in compliance with licensure standards. Deliver patient-centered therapy and education to patients and families about procedures, assistive devices, home programs, and ongoing self-management. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop patient goals, care plans, and discharge strategies; identify barriers to discharge. Schedule and coordinate treatment sessions with other disciplines using established procedures; monitor program effectiveness and outcomes. Document all required clinical information, including initial plan of care, precautions, orders, and progress notes. Provide clinical supervision to OTA staff in accordance with state licensure and care standards; participate in discharge planning and identify changes in patient condition for timely communication and documentation. Requirements North Dakota Occupational Therapy license (OTR/L) required prior to start date; licensure through the North Dakota State Board of Occupational Therapy. National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required prior to start date. Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association prior to start date. Experience: Will consider new grads with IP/OP experience; 2+ years preferred; inpatient and/or outpatient experience required.
