Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care in Independence, Missouri, with occasional travel to Overland Park, Kansas. The role supports registered nurses and healthcare providers, administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care using the Matrix EMR system. Candidates must hold an active LPN license in Missouri and Kansas and bring compassionate, patient-centered care skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under supervision of registered nurses and healthcare providers
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the clinical team
- Accurately document patient information, treatments, and care plans using Matrix EMR
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and ongoing patient assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Educate patients and family members about treatment plans and care instructions
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
- Active Missouri LPN license required
- Compact nursing license or active Missouri and Kansas LPN license required
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with Matrix EMR
