Receptionist

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Acts as the internal switchboard operator by answering and transferring all incoming telephone calls.
• Accurately takes and relays telephone messages.
• Exhibits a pleasant disposition while accepting/greeting visitors to the office and answering questions.
• Consults with corporation substitute teacher specialist and works with building substitute teachers to check in, distribute assignments and process substitute reports to central office.
• When requested create and process Purchase Orders.
• Issues "Building Usage Forms" and verifies accurate completion prior to distributing completed copies to appropriate personnel.
• Enters dates of building usage on the designated calendar(s) (Outlook program).
• Assembles and labels materials for mailings.
• Check-in and distributes mail.
• Updates outside signage via computer during Summer.
• Maintains teacher folder and schedule/roster.
• Handles sub coverage and accompanying documentation.
• Process visitors to the building with Raptor system
• All other duties assigned by Principal.

• Internal candidates must have successfully completed Clerical Basics & Skyward tests
• External candidates - Successful passing of Clerical Basics & Skyward required within the probationary period
• Demonstrated ability to work with students, staff and public preferred.
• Pass all clerical related skills tests for classification and position.
• Successful interview with Administrative Supervisor and/or Building Administrator.
