$32-42/HR
- Splicing large & small count Fiber Cables Mid Sheath Cuts.
- Utilize proper techniques to splice fiber optic cable.
- Prep/Splice single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) optical fiber cables
- Troubleshooting of fiber utilizing an OTDR.
- Strong communication skills are required between the splicer and tech ops manager to address problems as soon as possible.
- Proper record keeping and be able to review cable records as necessary.
- Knowledge, understanding, and practice of safety regulations within OSHA, NESC, NEC, and other construction-related guidelines.
- Maintain equipment and vehicle to a high standard.
- Work indoors and outdoors as needed.
- Iterate to the project/construction managers detailed accounts of field activity, both verbal and written.
- Coordinate with tech ops managers to verify and perform work as directed.
- Night work as needed for things like node splits.
- Able to be on call for emergencies involving damaged cables.
- Must know ribbon fiber.
- Must know fiber to the home.
- Utilize Fusion Splicer to splice Loose Tube & Ribbon fiber cable.
- Prep/Splice single-mode (SM) and multi-mode (MM) optical fiber cables
- Troubleshooting of fiber utilizing an OTDR.
- Strong communication skills are required between the splicer and tech ops manager to address problems as soon as possible.
- Proper record keeping and be able to review cable records as necessary.

- Telecommunications- Knowledge of transmission and CATV telecommunications systems.
- Public Safety- Knowledge of keeping the work area safe for the public.
- Computers and Electronics- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware/software for keeping proper records.
- Mechanical- Knowledge of optical splicing equipment like a cleaver, splicer, and bucket truck
