Job TitleShift Details & Pay Ranges = Listed BelowShift: SHIFT TIMES MAY VARYMonday through Friday - Shift Time: 10:00 PM until 6:30 AM*** OCCASIONAL SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS***Pay Ranges:Entry through 4 years of Employment = $23.705 years through 9 years of Employment = $23.9510 years through 14 years of Employment = $24.2015 years through 19 years of Employment = $24.4520 plus years of Employment = $24.70Primary FunctionPrimarily responsible for manually transporting product, pallets, cages, etc. as needed for shipping, processing required paperwork and conducting cooler inventory. Work in compliance with all company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.Responsibilities and TasksUnder minimal supervision, transport product using hand carts, pallet jacks, etc; following all safety protocolsEnsure all product is labeled, stacked and wrapped correctly for shippingScan and track pallets from production to coolerCorrectly verify and process required paperwork, (i.e. Bill of Lading, receivers to purchasing, truck log and sheet, and Production sheets for next shift)Verify cooler inventory/count, record correctlyDirect the work of others and is a "go-to" for questions and concerns in relation to task performance in the absence of supervisor or superintendent at their directionTrain lower level associates as neededPerform all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulationsOther duties as assignedEducation and CertificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not requiredExperience and Skills1 year experience in shippingDemonstrated leadership abilitiesAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivateAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hoursSound work ethic, honesty and moral characterSafety RequirementsFollow departmental and company safety policies and programsMust wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where requiredPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in hot, wet and/or cold environment (45ºF, 4ºC)Ability to stand up to 8 hoursAbility to lift up to 60 lbs.Will be exposed to noise (>85 decibels), CO2 and moving production lines/equipmentExposure to wet and dusty environmentMay roll and push buggies (~1,000 lbs.)Will work around live animals, odorsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
