Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 Weekly

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Pathology Laboratory
• Certification: ASCP (HT/HLT)
• Successful completion of a formal histology technologist training program, or an Associate's degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Receive specimens from surgery and accession them into the system.
• Collect blocks from pathology staff.
• Process tissue, including embedding, cutting, and staining of slides.
• Ensure quality and accuracy of histological preparations.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Follow safety and compliance protocols in the laboratory.
