About the Opportunity

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Area Manager to oversee multiple wireless retail locations and lead store operations across the market. This role is ideal for a proven multi-unit leader who enjoys building strong teams, improving operational performance, driving sales, and creating an outstanding customer experience.

The Area Manager will work closely with Store Managers and store teams while serving as the primary operational link between the field and executive leadership. This position requires a leader who can balance strategic oversight with day-to-day execution and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves to support operations when needed.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Performance

• Oversee the daily operations of multiple retail locations.
• Ensure stores consistently achieve sales, customer service, and operational goals.
• Analyze sales metrics, trends, and performance data to identify growth opportunities.
• Implement and monitor operational procedures, policies, and best practices.
• Conduct regular store visits and operational audits to ensure compliance and consistency.

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, coach, and support Store Managers and their teams.
• Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop retail talent.
• Create and manage employee schedules across the market.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and development.
• Foster a positive, accountable, and customer-focused culture.

Customer Experience

• Ensure every location delivers an exceptional customer experience.
• Address escalated customer concerns and implement solutions.
• Promote a culture of customer engagement and relationship building.

Staffing & Talent Management

• Maintain appropriate staffing levels across all locations.
• Partner with leadership on workforce planning and hiring initiatives.
• Oversee onboarding and training programs for new employees.
• Identify high-potential team members for future leadership opportunities.

Communication & Reporting

• Provide regular operational updates and performance reports to the CEO.
• Track KPIs related to sales, customer satisfaction, staffing, and profitability.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute growth strategies.
• Ensure consistent communication between retail locations and company leadership.

Qualifications

Experience

• 3+ years of multi-unit retail management experience preferred.
• Experience in wireless retail, telecommunications, consumer electronics, or related retail environments strongly preferred.
• Proven success leading teams, driving sales, and improving operational performance.

Skills

• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and locations simultaneously.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with scheduling, hiring, onboarding, and employee development.
• Proficiency with POS systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field preferred.
