The Quality Technician plays a key role in ensuring that automotive components consistently meet rigorous quality, safety, and performance standards aligned with Japanese manufacturing principles and Lean Manufacturing. This position supports production by performing detailed inspections, documenting results, identifying defects, and collaborating closely with engineering and production teams to maintain world‑class quality throughout the manufacturing process.
Why Work Here?

The role offers opportunities for overtime and the potential for long‑term career development within a global automotive organization. A competitive benefits package may include health insurance, paid time off, and retirement options, supporting both your professional ambitions and your life outside of work.
Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials and supplier components to verify compliance with specifications and quality requirements.
Conduct routine in‑process audits on production lines to ensure adherence to established quality standards and procedures.
Perform final product verification, including dimensional checks, functional tests, and visual inspections on finished automotive parts.
Assist in root cause analysis of defects using tools such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa (fishbone) diagrams, and Pareto analysis to identify and address underlying issues.
Maintain accurate and complete inspection records, quality reports, and non‑conformance documentation in accordance with quality system requirements.
Oversee and verify the proper calibration status of gauges, measurement tools, and testing equipment used in inspections.
Participate in continuous improvement activities and events to support process enhancements that reduce waste, defects, and rework.
Provide clear feedback to production operators and supervisors regarding quality issues, non‑conformances, and required corrective actions.
Support the implementation and maintenance of quality standards based on ISO 9001 or IATF quality systems.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality team members to resolve quality concerns and improve overall product reliability.
Essential Skills
High school diploma or equivalent.
1–3 years of experience in automotive quality or manufacturing quality inspection, or a closely related quality role.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
Strong understanding of ISO 9001 or IATF quality systems and their application in a manufacturing environment.
Basic computer skills for data entry, report generation, and electronic documentation.
Strong attention to detail and a consistent commitment to accuracy and precision in all inspection activities.
Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production environment while managing multiple inspection tasks.
Work Environment
This role operates in a fast‑paced automotive production setting with frequent interaction with production, engineering, and quality teams.
