As an IT Project Manager, IT Solution Planning & Delivery (AMI 2.0 Program), your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. Responsibilities Manage the activities of one or more moderate to large, short‑to‑mid‑term projects with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and outcomes. Exercise considerable latitude and judgement in developing plans, budgets, and resources, directing activities and actions, and determining deliverables. Decide appropriate methods and procedures for new projects with significant independence. Engage with all levels of management and act as a key consultant for both functional and business issues. Manage complex user story decomposition, dependency mapping, and backlog prioritization. Analyze velocity trends, quality metrics, and team capacity to forecast release plans. Drive process improvements by analyzing sprint metrics and refining ceremonies, workflows, documentation, and tools. Implement Agile software development practices including test‑driven development (TDD), pair programming, continuous integration, and refactoring. Ensure the protection of all physical, financial, and cybersecurity assets, and properly access and manage private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other highly sensitive information with the highest standards of conduct and integrity. Minimum Qualifications Seven or more years of experience in IT project management. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, or another relevant field. Demonstrated experience supporting enterprise IT solutions, including smart meter system implementation, enterprise system modernization, digital transformation programs, or large‑scale ERP implementations. Utility industry experience, ideally including smart meter and grid technologies. Demonstrated experience using various project delivery methodologies, including Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid‑Agile. Oversight and leadership of scope, schedule, budget, issues & risks – resource management. Demonstrated experience managing large systems integrators. Project Management and/or Agile Certification. Demonstrated interpersonal skills collaborating with teams consisting of members across a variety of departments and disciplines. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as presentation skills to effectively communicate and interact with project team members and key stakeholders. Additional Information This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
