Associate Project Manager

Overview The Associate Project Manager will provide project management support to assigned projects within the organization. The APM initiates, plans, develops, executes, and manages project timelines, conducts problem assessments, ensures efficient project implementation, and reports on project performance in conjunction with project sponsors. Expertise in the use of project management tools, facilitation, group processes and critical thinking is essential. The APM works to ensure maximum effectiveness of resources, quality, change, integration, cost, and scope management using effective communications techniques. As a member of the Design and Construction team, the APM works across the organization through workgroups and cross-functional teams. The APM identifies opportunities for efficiency, effectiveness and process innovation while analyzing relevant project daa and implementing process improvements. Responsibilities Provides support and consultation to executives, directors, managers, supervisors, and peers for strategic initiatives as assigned. Assists leadership with strategy and project initiation, planning and execution. Collaborates with leaders and teams on process improvement strategies and project management methodologies. Successfully manages change on an organizational level through stakeholder engagement. Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Conducts qualitative and quantitative analysis. Applies project management processes and methodologies with a proven track record of project management success. Partners effectively with leaders and staff at all levels. Provides consultation to leadership and peers in effective project management. Facilitates work meetings. Leads through influence and collaboration. Addresses and manages conflict among teams or stakeholders to resolution. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills. Maintains attention to detail and follow-through. Tracks and manages multiple, complex projects and priorities. Demonstrates competencies in project management including: Project chartering Project planning with detailed work breakdown structures and Gantt charts Quality assurance planning Risk identification and mitigation Resource management Budget tracking Change control Understands the big picture and translates it into specific actions, tasks, and measures to achieve desired outcomes. Develops data tracking tools, collates and analyzes data, interprets results, and creates graphical representations of findings. Works confidently with senior leaders and managers in a consulting role through strategy development and deployment planning. Utilizes knowledge of Lean tools and critical thinking principles. Demonstrates flexibility and creative problem-solving. Listens to and understands the needs of others. Maintains a commitment to service excellence. Utilizes Outlook, MS Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Visio, and SharePoint proficiently. May utilize other project management software as needed. Performs other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required or assigned. Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Technology, Business, Education, Project Management, or related field, or an equivalent level of professional experience required. Experience Two (2) to four (4) years of Project Management, Facilities Management, and/or Construction Management experience. Proven track record of successfully leading teams and implementing change initiatives required. Experience with project management tools, techniques, and methodologies required. Experience managing teams from cross-functional departments and disciplines required. Experience leading complex and concurrent projects with various size teams preferred. Experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities Proven ability to lead teams and implement organizational change initiatives.
