Description

General Manager leads and manages a high‑volume HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical service business. The role includes overseeing sales, operations, and profit/loss, expanding the business, maintaining customer relationships, hiring and training staff, and fostering a positive work environment. The General Manager is responsible for developing and implementing company strategy, aligning goals with company policies, and ensuring compliance with safety and company regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create, communicate, and implement the mission and strategic direction.
• Lead managers across various levels to align with and achieve the company’s strategic objectives.
• Formulate and implement the company’s strategic plan collaboratively.
• Stay informed about the competitive landscape and market opportunities.
• Guide the organization through change, including expanding business offerings.
• Evaluate organizational success using key strategic metrics.
• Manage and develop leadership staff: hiring, terminating, disciplining, scheduling, setting priorities, conducting staff meetings, counseling, evaluating performance, and directing tasks.
• Collaborate with the executive team and senior leadership to ensure well‑considered, timely decisions.
• Assess workload distribution to optimize manpower utilization and maximize profitability.
• Ensure adherence to all processes, procedures, safety and company regulations.
• Assume full financial responsibility for the organization’s operations.
• Address customer escalation issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Identify and recommend areas for improvement, striving to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• 5 years of managerial experience with a proven track record of leading diverse teams.
• Demonstrated experience managing P&L statements, budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
• Successful track record in business‑to‑consumer sales within the home services sector, with proven ability to drive revenue growth and meet sales targets.
• Experience overseeing day‑to‑day operations, including service delivery, customer satisfaction, and quality control.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans to achieve company goals and adapt to industry changes.
• Strong skills in maintaining and enhancing customer relationships and addressing escalated issues.
• Experience in recruiting, training, and developing staff.
• Proven ability to manage and lead through change, including business expansion, process improvements, and technology adoption.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in using data to make informed decisions and assess performance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and current standards.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience with Service Titan is highly preferred.
• CRM software experience is desirable.

Physical Requirements

• Work at a workstation or office, sitting or standing.
• Communicate verbally via phone or other devices.
• Stand, walk, sit; talk or hear, in person or by telephone.
• Use hands to type, handle, or feel objects and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 10 pounds.
• Work is usually performed in an indoor office environment.

Base salary plus bonus based on EBITDA.
