Responsibilities and Key Activities This position is responsible for providing facilities and manufacturing support in a regulated GMP environment, new equipment commissioning and validation, and technology improvement. The engineer will design, develop, analyze, and implement manufacturing process repairs and improvements; lead and support operational groups in determining root cause and resolution of equipment uptime and operational efficiencies; and support cost reduction of existing products. The role includes troubleshooting urgent issues when manufacturing processes are not functioning as intended, working on continuous improvement activities, executing cross‑departmental projects, and acting as a bridge between departments. The engineer will use risk‑based thinking, develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes, support manufacturing processes daily, and utilize continuous improvement strategies such as Design of Experiments, lean manufacturing, and statistical process control. Additional duties involve maintaining professional etiquette, participating in teams and meetings, adhering to facility environmental, health, and safety policies, maintaining documentation to satisfy ISO and GMP standards, and fostering good communication and working relationships with all departments. The engineer will design, develop, test, review test results, perform root cause analyses, recommend and implement solutions, ensure compliance with quality processes and standards, and facilitate continuous improvement and innovation. Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or related field 2+ years of relevant experience Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) knowledge and usage (safety glasses, steel‑toed boots, gloves, etc.) GMP knowledge for manufacturing Preferred Requirements System integration experience Machine maintenance experience Compensation Pay Range: $76,640.00 - $114,960.00 annual. In addition to base pay, this role offers a performance‑based annual cash incentive target equal to 10% of base pay.
