Job Summary:

The Cath Lab/EP technician is responsible for assisting with diagnostic and interventional procedures in the catheterization laboratory, ensuring patient safety and optimal clinical outcomes. The role requires technical expertise and adherence to safety protocols within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare and calibrate imaging equipment and cath lab supplies for various procedures.
  
  
• 
  Assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in the Cath Lab/EP lab.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and comfort levels throughout procedures.
  
  
• 
  Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control standards.
  
  
• 
  Document procedure details accurately in the electronic medical record.
  
  
• 
  Support post-procedure patient care and equipment sterilization.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold a valid technician certification in Cath Lab/EP procedures.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least one year of experience working in a Cardiac Catheterization or Electrophysiology lab.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in using EPIC EMR and imaging systems.
  
  
• 
  Be able to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  
  
• 
  Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT(R) or RCIS certifications.
  
  
• 
  License requirements as per state regulations (if applicable).
