Phlebotomist - Float
$17.75 - $21 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a Float Phlebotomist for its New Hartford, NY laboratory. This position involves collecting blood specimens from diverse patient populations, performing data entry, processing billing, and preparing samples for testing across multiple clinic locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections for all age groups
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, and alcohol tests
- Enter patient information and maintain specimen logs accurately
- Process billing information and collect payments from patients
- Prepare collected specimens for laboratory testing and analysis
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months experience
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass color blindness test
- At least 21 years old
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in team settings
Compensation: $17.75 - $21.00 per hour; float incentive additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
