Work Shift Hours: Monday- Friday 6 AM- 2:30 PM until production is completed. Full-Time

Summary/ Objective:

The Warehouse Janitor is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment. This position focuses on warehouse housekeeping duties to support safe and efficient operations by removing cardboard and trash, sweeping floors, collecting shrink wrap, and keeping warehouse work areas free of debris.

Essential Functions:

• Sweep warehouse floors and keep aisles, staging areas, and workspaces clean and free of debris.
• Collect and dispose of cardboard, shrink wrap, trash, and other warehouse waste throughout the shift.
• Break down cardboard for recycling and transport waste to designated disposal areas.
• Cut and remove shrink wrap from pallets and work areas as needed.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the warehouse.
• Clean spills promptly and safely to prevent accidents.
• Operate floor sweepers, scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment as assigned.
• Assist with general warehouse housekeeping projects and periodic deep-cleaning assignments.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and notify management when repairs or replacements are needed.
• Safely handle and store cleaning chemicals in accordance with company policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Follow all company safety procedures and immediately report hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Support warehouse operations by maintaining clean aisles, dock areas, and workstations to promote safety and efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

• Warehouse environment with exposure to dust, noise, forklifts, and moving equipment.

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have:

• the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) weight up to 50lbs
• Ability to use a keyboard and type proficiently
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Experience:

• Previous janitorial, custodial, or warehouse cleaning experience preferred but not required.
