Education Requirements

• Required:
  • Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Licensure & Certifications

• Required:
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Preferred:
  • ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum: 1 year of experience in cardiac sonography (echo)
• Includes experience in:
  • Adult echocardiography
  • Pediatric echocardiography (preferred competency area)
