Are you a dedicated Gastroenterologist looking to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our Veterans? The Amarillo VA Health Care System is seeking a passionate and skilled Gastroenterologist to join our team. You will be providing comprehensive care for patients with illnesses within the scope of Gastroenterology.

Gastroenterologist Work Hours: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide primary, secondary, and tertiary care in both hospitalized and outpatient settings.
• Diagnose and manage patients' health problems and design diagnostic and therapeutic plans.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including colonoscopy, polypectomy, flexible sigmoidoscopy, upper GI endoscopy, esophageal ligation or banding of varices, dilation of the esophagus (bouginage), and small bowel biopsy.

Qualifications:

• Currently licensed in a State, Territory, or the District of Columbia.
• Preferably certified or qualified for examination by the American Board of Internal Medicine or other appropriate specialty certifying boards.
