2nd Shift CNC Machinist

ARCH Cutting Tools is seeking experienced machinists to join our team in Flushing, MI. Must have experience in Haas, Fanuc CNC controls. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Interpret blueprints to ensure parts are machined to specifications. Set up fixturing, cutting tools, and other support equipment for machining of parts. Apply cutting tools for machining and calculate feeds, speeds, and depths of cut. Read and interpret CNC G‑code and programming languages. Understand and modify CNC work offsets, tool radius offsets, and other parameters for CNC toolpath. Use calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other quality control devices; adjust program and tool parameters to achieve quality standards. Maintain machine preventive maintenance and cleanliness. Keep surrounding work area clean and organized. Use Haas, Fanuc, or other CNC controls. Use Mastercam or CAD software for job instructions. Perform simple to complicated mathematical processes. Monitor quality of parts produced and perform internal quality control. Observe safety and security procedures; report unsafe conditions; use equipment and materials properly. Qualifications Advanced education in CNC machining, or one to two years of related experience/training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made. Physical ability to stand, walk, sit occasionally, use hands, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; lift or move up to 40 pounds.
