Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Associate to join a leading law firm in Fort Lauderdale. This role offers hands-on experience handling high-stakes, complex commercial litigation in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of complex commercial litigation
- Draft and argue substantive and dispositive motions
- Take and defend depositions (including experts)
- Handle discovery and e-discovery processes
- Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials
- Work directly with clients on case strategy
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of litigation experience (law firm or clerkship + firm)
- Experience with complex commercial matters preferred
- Strong research, writing, and advocacy skills
- Experience in state and federal courts
- Florida Bar admission required (or eligibility)
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently
