We are seeking a Senior Specialist, Communications to join our External Communications team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications – Americas. This content-focused professional will play a key role in developing and managing high-quality communications projects that strengthen DP World's brand, reputation, and commercial presence across the Americas.

The ideal candidate is a strong project manager and writer who can translate complex business topics into clear, engaging content for a range of external audiences and channels, from concept through delivery. This role will develop compelling, high-quality content includes news releases, content marketing materials, executive communications, media materials, and thought leadership, while also supporting media relations requests.

Success in this role requires strong project management skills, writing and editorial judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across functions and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Management

• Develop engaging, innovative, and polished short- and long-form content across a variety of communications channels, including white papers, blog articles, reports, case studies, executive talking points and briefing materials, thought leadership articles, news releases, and other external communications
• Translate complex business, industry, and technical topics into clear and compelling narratives tailored to specific external audiences
• Collaborate on content marketing campaigns and social media amplification, applying SEO/GEO writing principles and best practices to increase AI visibility and engagement
• Tailor messaging to resonate with target audiences while ensuring alignment with DP World's brand, voice, business priorities, and strategic objectives
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including Commercial/Sales, Marketing, Government Relations, Graphic Design, and other internal stakeholders, as well as external vendors, to develop high-quality content that supports reputation, sales, and growth objectives
• Edit and proofread communications materials to ensure accuracy, consistency, clarity, and adherence to DP World brand and editorial standards

Project Management

• Execute multiple in-house and vendor-supported content development projects, including videos, info graphics, reports, webinars, and other communications initiatives, from concept through delivery
• Establish project timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and manage review and approval processes to ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule
• Manage multiple concurrent communications projects using project management tools such as Microsoft Planner and Monday.com to support visibility, collaboration, and timely delivery
• Prioritize effectively and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Media Relations

• Support day-to-day media relations activities specific to the U.S. and Canada, including drafting news releases, media pitches, Q&As, briefing materials, and other media-facing content
• Assist with responding to media inquiries, coordinating interviews, and preparing executives and subject matter experts for media engagements
• Monitor media coverage and industry conversations to identify emerging opportunities, trends, and potential reputational issues
• Collaborate with the broader communications team to identify compelling stories and opportunities to strengthen DP World's visibility in relevant business, trade, and industry media
• Support communications initiatives that strengthen and protect DP World's brand and reputation across external channels
• Serve as a brand ambassador, developing a strong understanding of DP World's brand standards, messaging, and communications requirements and applying them consistently across content
• Maintain awareness of relevant industry trends and issues to help ensure communications are timely, credible, and aligned with the external environment
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies

Reputation & Brand Management

• Support communications initiatives that strengthen and protect DP World's brand and reputation across external channels
• Serve as a brand ambassador, developing a strong understanding of DP World's brand standards, messaging, and communications requirements and applying them consistently across content
• Maintain awareness of relevant industry trends and issues to help ensure communications are timely, credible, and aligned with the external environment
• Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World's Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World's Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Affairs, Communications, English, Government, History, Marketing, or another relevant writing-intensive discipline
• Experience: 3–5 years of experience in communications, journalism, public relations, content marketing, or a related field, with demonstrated experience developing high-quality written content
• Writing and Editorial Excellence: Exceptional writing, editing, proofreading, and fact-checking skills, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and compellingly
• Executive Communications: Ability to adapt tone and voice for senior leaders and develop effective talking points, briefing materials, and thought leadership content
• Digital Expertise: Familiarity with SEO/GEO writing principles and best practices, AI-assisted content tools, digital publishing, and content amplification techniques
• Media Relations: Familiarity with media relations fundamentals and experience developing media-facing materials; experience supporting media inquiries and engagements is preferred
• Project Management: Strong organizational and time-management skills, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, deadlines, and approval processes concurrently
• Business Acumen: Ability to understand business priorities and translate them into relevant, audience-focused communications
• Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, senior leaders, subject matter experts, and external partners
• Judgement and Attention to Detail: Strong editorial judgement, intellectual curiosity, creativity, and attention to detail
• Travel: Ability to travel up to 10%, as needed
