Radiation Therapist (ARRT) – Varian Ethos, PRN Location: Lebanon, TN – Vanderbilt Ingram Cancer Center at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital Schedule: PRN Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM; no weekends or on call Department: Radiation Oncology | Cancer Care Job Summary The radiation therapist is an integral part of the radiation oncology treatment team. This person is responsible for accurate delivery of therapeutic radiation treatments to patients and simulations under the direction of a radiation oncologist. The therapist must understand the rationale for radiation therapy and possess skills in patient assessment and interpersonal communication. Key Responsibilities Deliver external beam radiation therapy using Varian Ethos technology Perform CT simulation and brachytherapy simulation per clinical protocols Document radiation therapy treatments accurately in Aria and Epic EMR systems Collaborate with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and care team members Maintain a safe, compassionate, and patient‑focused environment Qualifications ARRT certification required BLS certification required Positive radiation therapy experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate, adaptable, and team‑oriented Technical Skills External beam radiation therapy CT simulation Aria and Epic EMR documentation Varian Ethos system Benefits Work with leading oncology clinicians and advanced radiation therapy technology Be part of a nationally recognized cancer program focused on innovation and research Deliver evidence‑based cancer care that improves patient outcomes Grow in a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning and clinical excellence Core Accountabilities & Capabilities Organizational Impact: Executes responsibilities with an understanding of how output impacts other areas, with occasional guidance. Essential Information Position qualifications: ARRT & BLS certification required; less than 1 year of experience; graduate of an approved discipline‑specific program.
