Medical Billing Specialist

Job Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in our healthcare organization based in Rochester, New York. The role mainly involves processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. You will also be responsible for monitoring customer accounts in the healthcare industry. Responsibilities Process and manage customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency Maintain up-to-date customer credit records Handle customer inquiries effectively and professionally Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when needed Utilize accounting software systems for billing functions Administer claims using EHR SYSTEM and IBM AS/400 Use Medisoft and Microsoft Excel for accounts receivable (AR) and appeals Manage collection processes using Epic Software and Epic System Ensure compliance with healthcare industry standards and regulations Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline billing processes Qualifications Proficient in the use of Accounting Software Systems such as Medisoft, IBM AS/400, and Microsoft Excel Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM and Epic Software is a must Must have a solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR) processes Experience with Billing Functions and Claim Administration is required Knowledge of Collection Processes and Appeals handling is necessary Prior experience in the Healthcare, Hospitals, or Social Assistance industry is preferred Familiarity with Epic System is a plus Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards Must have ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently A commitment to continuous professional development Must have a high level of accuracy and attention to detail The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr 6AM City, LLC
