Interim Assistant Principal - Ellen Myers Primary School

Interim K-4 Assistant Principal is needed to help lead our elementary school team. This is a temporary position in a Tennessee public school. You will help manage daily school operations. You will also support teachers, students, and families. Position Overview Job Title: Interim Assistant Principal Grade Levels: Kindergarten through 4th Grade (K-4) Location: Tennessee Public School Duration: Temporary / Interim (Dates to be determined) Reports To: School Principal Key Responsibilities School Leadership & Operations Manage daily student arrival and dismissal routines. Maintain a safe, positive school environment. Enforce the school student code of conduct. Handle student discipline issues fairly. Supervise common areas like the cafeteria and playground. Instructional Support Observe teachers and give helpful feedback. Use the Tennessee Educator Acceleration Model (TEAM) for evaluations. Help analyze student test data to improve learning. Support data-driven instruction in K-4 classrooms. Participate in student support meetings like IEPs and 504 plans. Community Engagement Communicates clearly with parents and guardians. Resolve family concerns with empathy and respect. Collaborate closely with the Principal and school staff. Job Requirements Licensure & Education Valid Tennessee Instructional Leadership License Master's degree or higher in Educational Leadership. Experience & Skills Knowledge of Tennessee academic standards for grades K-4. Experience with the TEAM evaluation model. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
