Position Overview:

Performs tests on neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, for use in diagnosis and treatment of disease, and other related duties, following established standards and practices, per divisions of the lab and per shift assigned. Must be able to perform duties in two or more technical areas, such as Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, and Blood Bank. If working on PM and Night shift regularly, must be able to perform specific duties in all technical areas as well as performing phlebotomy.

EDUCATION

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

• Bachelor's: biology, or chemistry or related science field.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

• CLSL-Licensed Clinical Lab Scientist

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

• One year of internship in clinical laboratory

• 1 year as a generalist preferred

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to read, speak and write in English

• Knowledge of the current Laboratory information system

Pay Range is $64.98 to $81.14 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled.
