Dietitian/Nutritionist

Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM-2:00 PM
Setting: Outpatient

Position Overview

We are seeking a Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist to join an outpatient healthcare team in Baton Rouge, LA . This position will focus on assessing patients' nutritional needs, developing individualized nutrition plans, providing dietary counseling, and monitoring patient progress.

The Dietitian/Nutritionist will work with patients of all ages and collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients' nutritional and health needs.

• Review and evaluate patient laboratory values.

• Develop individualized meal and nutrition plans based on patients' needs, preferences, and budgets.

• Counsel patients regarding nutrition, healthy eating habits, and disease management.

• Monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans and make adjustments as needed.

• Educate patients and community groups on healthy eating and nutrition.

• Develop educational materials related to healthy food choices.

• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.

• Stay current with developments and research in food and nutritional science.

• Provide telehealth services for patients at the Shreveport location.

• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Food and Nutrition, or a related field .

• Active Louisiana Dietitian or Nutritionist license required.

• At least 1 year of specialty clinical or hospital experience preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a timely manner. Benefits
