The opportunity

As the Applied Practice Experience Administrator for Masters in Public Health Program, you will serve as a full-time member of Southern New Hampshire University's Global Campus and provides operational administration for the Master of Public Health Applied Practice Experience (APE), referred to within the MPH program as the practicum. You'll support students from preparation through completion and helps ensure consistent, timely, and well documented processes for practice site and preceptor documentation, practicum plan administration, partnership coordination, student progression, quality assurance, and accreditation evidence.

Reporting to the Director, Public Health, you'll work with Public Health faculty, Career Services, Academic Advising, Accreditation and Compliance partners, students, preceptors, and practice sites. You will coordinate the operational lifecycle of the APE and maintain records and processes that support applicable Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH) accreditation requirements and university policies. Academic approval of APE plans and assessment of student competency completion remain with designated Public Health faculty or program leadership.

What you'll do:

• Coordinate the operational lifecycle of the MPH Applied Practice Experience from student readiness and planning through completion and required documentation.

• Be a primary operational liaison among the MPH program, students, preceptors, practice sites, Career Services, academic advising, and other university partners involved in the APE process.

• Communicate with students regarding APE requirements, timelines, required documentation, and next steps.

• Coordinate the collection and initial administrative review of preceptor curriculum vitae or résumés, practice site information, and student practicum plans for completeness and established program requirements.

• Route materials requiring academic judgment, competency review, exceptions, or final academic approval to designated Public Health faculty or program leadership.

• Maintain accurate practice site, preceptor, affiliation agreement, student progression, and APE completion records across approved university systems.

• Maintain practice site and preceptor directories and support systematic evaluation of practice sites and the student experience.

• Maintain relationships with public health, healthcare, governmental, nonprofit, community-based, and other appropriate organizations to expand high-quality APE opportunities.

• Identify and report current and anticipated APE capacity needs and support short-term and long-term planning for student placements.

• Coordinate affiliation agreement development, routing, tracking, renewal, and communication in collaboration with appropriate university offices and external partners.

• Track student progress against APE requirements, identify missing or delayed items, and escalate irregularities or barriers that may affect student progression.· Collect and organize student, preceptor, and practice site feedback and completion data to support quality improvement and program decision-making.

• Provide reports, key performance indicators, trends, risks, and recommendations to Public Health program leadership.

• Support program leadership in maintaining documentation and evidence related to CEPH requirements for MPH Applied Practice Experiences and other applicable accreditation expectations.

• Track required APE documentation, approvals, applied practice products, and completion records in collaboration with designated faculty and program leadership.

• Support accreditation reporting, self study preparation, evidence requests, and monitoring activities related to the APE.

• Monitor operational compliance with applicable university requirements, practice site requirements, and approved APE procedures.

Quality Assurance and Process Improvement

• Help develop, documenting, maintaining, and periodically reviewing standard operating procedures for the APE process.

• Analyze operational data, processing times, student progression, practice site capacity, and partner feedback to identify opportunities to improve student experience and program effectiveness.

• Support implementation of approved APE workflows and documentation standards across students, faculty reviewers, and university partners.

• Recommend process improvements that strengthen efficiency, transparency, quality, and accreditation readiness.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in public health, healthcare administration, higher education, education, business administration, or a related field.

• 1+ years of experience in public health, higher education, experiential education, student services, program administration, accreditation, compliance, or a related setting.

• Manage complex processes, documentation, deadlines, and multiple partners.

• Demonstrated experience using data to support operational decisions, student success, or quality improvement.

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, database systems, and technology platforms used for student support, program management, or experiential education.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Public Health or related graduate degree.

• Knowledge of CEPH accreditation requirements and MPH Applied Practice Experiences.

• 1+ years of experience coordinating practicums, internships, field education, service learning, or other applied practice activities.

• Experience working with public health agencies, healthcare organizations, governmental organizations, nonprofit organizations, or community-based partners.

• Certified in Public Health (CPH), if applicable.

• Experience with reporting, workflow tools, or experiential learning management platforms.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $49,750.00 - $79,615.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $54,974.00 - $74,376.00.
