Position Travel Nurse RN PCU (Progressive Care Unit) – Lebanon, New Hampshire. Key Details Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/06/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Progressive Care nurses care for patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment but are not unstable enough for ICU care. Responsibilities include monitoring cardiac and other vital signs, detecting changes, and enabling timely intervention for life‑threatening or emergency situations. Many patients receive complex medications that may require titration based on vital signs. The PCU nurse may also be referred to as a step‑down nurse. Monitor and assess patients who are not unstable enough for ICU care. Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital information and detect any changes, thereby enabling intervention of life‑threatening or emergency situations.
