Pet insuranceThis position ends 4 months from date of hire with the possibility of extension. This position will not become career. RECRUITMENT PERIOD: Post for one month. Applicants will be screened after two weeks; and then on a weekly basis. The position can be filled prior to the removal date. This position is not subject to the 1,000-hour conversion to career.Under supervision of the Small Animal Nursing supervisor, clean, disinfect, sanitize and stock assigned areas according to established protocols. Monitor and record patient vital functions; maintain supply inventory and equipment; perform feeding, hospitalization and discharge procedures according to protocol.Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position No minimum education requirement. Experience using and working with cleaning supplies in a professional environment. Experience using cleaning equipment and agents. Skills to maintain inventory of supplies. Interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of people, to include clients, clinicians, students and staff.Preferred Qualifications Experience working as a veterinary assistant in a small animal hospital with the skill to assist in the performance of veterinary medical treatments and procedures. Education in veterinary technology or veterinary science. Experience using safe animal handling and restraint techniques for a wide variety of patients.
