About the Position

Job Title: RN - PACU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Variable Shift Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: Meditech experience Pre-op experience Description: Contract position for Registered Nurse in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. Schedule consists of rotating shifts, Monday through Thursday one week, Tuesday through Friday the next week. The shifts are night shifts from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM, four weekdays per week. There is no call requirement for this position. The unit has 19 beds and a staff consisting of one charge nurse, five registered nurses, and one patient care technician on day shifts. On night shifts, no staff is assigned as it is not applicable. Patient ratios are 1:1 for pre-op and 3:1 for phase 2 recovery. Key responsibilities include assisting with blocks and IV starts. Candidates must be reliable team players. The dress code requires navy scrubs. This position offers a great opportunity to work with experienced staff and utilize new equipment and technology.
