Procurement Specialist

As a Procurement Specialist on our team, you will leverage your expertise in acquisition strategy, vendor negotiations, and compliance with DoW procurement policies to support mission‑critical procurement. Your analytical skills and problem‑solving mindset will be applied to optimize procurement decisions and advance national defense objectives. This role offers the opportunity to broaden your expertise into advanced supply chain logistics, acquisition documentation, and contract lifecycle management while mentoring and leading fellow professionals. Responsibilities Leverage expertise in acquisition strategy, vendor negotiations, and compliance with DoW procurement policies to support mission‑critical procurement. Optimize procurement decisions through cost estimation, financial analysis, and supply chain logistics. Manage multiple projects, including planning, organization, decision‑making, work delegation, and employee development. Lead cross‑functional teams, mentor junior procurement staff, and conduct market research to identify appropriate vendor solutions. Maintain compliance with federal procurement regulations and conduct audits to ensure adherence to DFARS, FAR, and DoW policies. Qualifications 2+ years of experience with federal procurement regulations and compliance audits. Experience with cost estimation, financial analysis, and supply chain logistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook). Knowledge of contract lifecycle management and government contracting. Ability to manage multiple projects and develop decision‑making processes. Secret clearance. Bachelor’s degree. Preferred: 5+ years of experience in program or acquisition management; experience with DoW organizations; full procurement lifecycle management; advanced acquisition documentation; metrics and business process reengineering; DFARS/FAR processes; emerging procurement technologies; integration of security, travel, and acquisition regulations; cross‑functional leadership; excellent communication and coordination skills. Certification: Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM). Compensation Projected salary range: $53,000.00 to $108,000.00 (annualized USD).
