Job Description

• Prepare accurate conceptual, schematic, and detailed estimates for commercial and municipal projects.
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine complete scopes of work.
• Develop quantity takeoffs, pricing, and cost breakdowns for bids ranging from small commercial to $20M public projects.
• Solicit and level subcontractor and vendor bids.
• Assist with bid strategy, value engineering, and scope clarifications.
• Collaborate closely with ownership and project leadership during preconstruction.
• Support handoff meetings between estimating and project management teams.
• Maintain and improve estimating procedures, databases, and cost histories.y standards and industry regulations in all cost estimation activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Estimator for Commercial & Municipal Projects should have:

• 5-15 years of experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator with a general contractor.
• Experience estimating commercial and/or municipal projects.
• Comfortable working on projects from small commercial up to large public facilities ($20M+).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently in a lean team environment.
• Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital plans.
• Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
• Desire to grow into a higherlevel estimating or preconstruction leadership role longterm.
• Local to the Rock Hill / South Charlotte area preferred (or willing to relocate locally).
