Position Summary

To provide superior quality, competitive value, and outstanding service by working interdependently with the Dentist and Hygienist to provide dental health care to patients of all ages. The Dental Assistant performs routine administrative and patient care supportive duties to assist the dental staff in the examination and treatment of patients.

General Education Requirements

Graduate from a Florida Board of Dentistry-approved or Graduate from a Florida CODA-accredited dental assisting program or a minimum of three years' experience in Pediatric, General and Oral Dentistry in lieu of education.

Additional Requirements

• Florida Radiation Safety coursework and X-Ray Certification to meet Florida Radiography Requirements

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

• Ability to work well in a team environment, remains motivated, is self-directed, and demonstrates initiative
