DCH Builders, a division of Dettaglio Construction, Inc., is a high-end custom home and large-scale renovation general contractor serving luxury residential clients across California. We build with precision, discretion, and a deep respect for the craft, and we're growing our field leadership team in Los Angeles. Car allowance may be provided for the right candidate.

The Role

We're seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead the field execution of premier single-family custom homes in the Los Angeles area, with project values up to $20M. You'll be the day-to-day face of DCH on site, owning schedule, quality, safety, and trade coordination from groundbreaking through final handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations for high-end custom residential projects, from excavation and shoring through finishes and punch list
• Build, manage, and continually update the master schedule and three-week look-aheads
• Manage Daily Log, Jobsite Photos, etc.
• Coordinate and hold accountable subcontractors, specialty trades, and craftsmen
• Enforce high quality standards
• Partner closely with project managers, architects, designers, engineers, and homeowners
• Manage inspections, City of LA permitting requirements, and compliance with LADBS and code requirements
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and secure job site
• Track RFIs, submittals, and progress documentation
• Deliver a polished client experience, with clear communication
• Proficiency with a construction management software such as: ProCore, Bluebeam is a plus
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling and project planning techniques.
• Skilled in blueprint reading and interpreting technical drawings accurately.
• Proven ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills for managing client relationships and team coordination.
• Knowledge of construction safety regulations including OSHA standards.
• Experience supervising construction sites with a focus on safety and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated management skills in budgeting, contract administration, and project delivery.
• Strong leadership qualities with a focus on crew management and conflict resolution.

What You Bring

• 10+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years as a Superintendent on luxury custom single-family homes
• Proven track record on projects up to $15M, including complex hillside, coastal, or estate-level builds
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
• Strong knowledge of high-end finishes and custom architectural details
• Experience with LA-area building conditions: hillside grading, retaining walls, caissons and shoring, and seismic requirements
• Utilization of scheduling tools and project software (Procore, MS Project or Primavera a plus)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the composure to work directly with high-net-worth clients
• OSHA 30 (or equivalent) and current First Aid/CPR preferred
• Experience with fire-rebuild projects a plus
