Shipping/ Receiving Clerk

Shipping & Receiving ClerkPosition Summary: The Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining accurate shipping and inventory records, and ensuring timely processing of warehouse documentation. This position supports production schedules by coordinating incoming materials, preparing shipping documentation, verifying inventory transactions, and maintaining the accuracy of inventory management systems. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare bills of lading and shipping documentation for outbound shipments.Verify, record, and confirm all products loaded for shipment.Process shipments against customer orders and update order status within the inventory management system.Close completed orders and distribute required documentation to the Production Planning and Accounting departments.Coordinate incoming material deliveries to align with production schedules.Enter inventory transactions accurately and in a timely manner.Verify receiving documentation against open purchase orders and report discrepancies.Notify of significant shipment discrepancies or exceptions.Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.Inspect incoming shipments and document any shortages or discrepancies.Gather documentation for freight damage and transportation claims.Maintain accurate inventory logs and purchase order records.Follow company safety policies and warehouse procedures.Perform other related duties as assigned.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous shipping and/or receiving experience preferred.Proficiency with computers and inventory management systems.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Basic mathematical and data entry skills.Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally.Physical Requirements:Regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods.Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing as necessary.Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday.Work Environment:Work is performed in both a warehouse and office environment.Warehouse conditions may include exposure to varying temperatures, equipment noise, and forklift traffic.Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.Benefits & Pay:$16.40/Hr + overtime pay Paid every Friday Direct Deposit and/or Paycards Available Paid Holidays & PTO (Based on accrued hour requirements) Medical Coverage-Access to affordable and comprehensive group medical coverage
