Accountant

Salary Range: $55,000–$60,000 annually, based on experience and education SER Corporation, a mission‑driven nonprofit serving communities across Kansas, is seeking an experienced and detail‑oriented Accountant to support our financial operations. This role manages financial reporting, payroll, budgeting, accounts payable, grant compliance, and audit preparation while working closely with organizational leadership. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly financial reports and bank reconciliations for CEO and the Board of Directors Process bi‑weekly payroll, payroll taxes, and 401(k) contributions Manage accounts payable and maintain financial documentation Develop budgets for grants and proposals; monitor annual budgets Submit quarterly financial reports to the U.S. Department of Labor Support federal grant compliance and reporting Coordinate annual audits and prepare W‑2s/1099s Assist with HR and administrative tasks as needed Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field Experience in nonprofit and fund accounting CenterPoint Accounting Software experience Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) Strong knowledge of accounting principles Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Commitment to confidentiality Preferred Qualifications Experience with federal grants or Department of Labor programs Nonprofit budgeting and grant reporting experience Knowledge of payroll taxes and 401(k) administrationCPA License / Certification What We Offer PTO, paid holidays, and sick leave Life insurance Supportive, mission‑focused work environment About the Ideal Candidate You are organized, dependable, proactive, and highly detail‑oriented.
