Role Overview
An Account Executive is responsible for building and maintaining client relationships within the logistics and freight industry. They identify, prospect, and close new business opportunities, while managing and growing existing accounts through exceptional service and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and close new business opportunities in logistics and freight
- Manage existing client accounts for growth and retention
- Identify client shipping needs and offer tailored logistics solutions
- Collaborate with operations and carrier teams for seamless shipment execution
- Negotiate rates and contracts to maximize revenue and profitability
- Maintain accurate CRM records and track sales activity
- Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs
Qualifications & Skills
- 1-3 years of sales or account management experience, preferably in logistics or supply chain
- Knowledge of freight brokerage, transportation, or 3PL services is advantageous
- Strong prospecting, cold-calling, and closing skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
- Self-motivated with a results-driven attitude
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
