Room Attendant

Location Canopy by Hilton at Deer Valley, Park City, UT 84060. Overview The Room Attendant maintains cleanliness and guest satisfaction in our hotel, ensuring guest rooms are pristine and ready for occupancy. The role supports guests and the housekeeping team by preparing stayover and check‑out rooms, handling linens, and performing general and deep cleaning as needed. Key Responsibilities Operational Support Clean and prepare guest rooms, including stayover and check‑out rooms, adhering to established hotel procedures and brand standards. Remove soiled linens and towels, place in back landings. Make beds, change linens, and replace towels. Thoroughly clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, toilets, sinks, and floors. Dust, polish, and wipe down all surfaces. Service minibar. Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors. Empty trash receptacles and replace liners. Replenish in‑room amenities such as toiletries, coffee supplies, and stationery. Arrange all clothing items in occupied guest rooms folded neatly. Perform self‑inspections of all assigned rooms to ensure they meet quality and brand standards before reporting them as ready. Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or damaged items promptly utilizing HotSos. Maintain a neat, organized, and well‑stocked housekeeping cart and linen closet. General Duties Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including OSHA standards, particularly those related to engineering and maintenance. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely and effectively. Handle guest requests and inquiries promptly and courteously. Handle chemicals and cleaning agents according to safety guidelines. Perform the duties of a house attendant as needed. Qualifications Prior experience in housekeeping or a similar role, preferably within a hotel or hospitality environment. Skills Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality work. Ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Basic communication skills to interact with guests and team members. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and equipment usage is desirable. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, pull, push, bend, stoop, and lift for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 25‑30 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and handle supplies. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
