Payment Operations Manager at Monzo. About the role We are looking for a proactive individual to help build and manage our European payment infrastructure. You will lead the design and execution of operational processes as we expand our footprint, working closely with our product and engineering teams to launch new systems. Key facts Location: Madrid, Spain (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week in office) Engagement: Full-time What you'll do Manage relationships with payment schemes and external partners. Oversee the onboarding, implementation, and compliance processes for new payment partners. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to launch and maintain European payment systems. Design and scale back-office operations to support our growth. Monitor partner performance and establish service level agreements. Identify and prioritize operational improvements to enhance the customer experience. Requirements Proven experience with payment systems and schemes, specifically within the Spanish market. Familiarity with European banking and payment regulations. Demonstrated ability to manage supplier relationships and complex operational projects. Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision making. Experience working directly with technical teams on system implementation. Ability to manage competing priorities and navigate ambiguous environments.
