Contract Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Grand Rapids, MI
Location: Grand Rapids, Michigan Schedule: Contract Experience Required: 2+ Years Credentials: Active CRT, RRT, or State License
About the OpportunityA respected healthcare facility in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a contract assignment. This role is ideal for RTs who excel in clinical environments, provide exceptional patient care, and want a contract position with competitive pay and strong recruiter support.
Responsibilities- Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, and ventilator management
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans based on clinical response
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Safely operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment
- Educate patients and families on respiratory conditions and therapies
- 2+ years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience
- Active Respiratory Therapist Certification and/or License (CRT or RRT)
- Strong knowledge of respiratory care protocols and ventilator management
- Excellent communication, critical‑thinking, and patient‑care skills
- Acute care, critical care, or emergency department experience
- Experience with EMR systems
