Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I to prepare laboratory specimens for analysis, including unpacking, labeling, routing, and shipping samples to testing facilities. The role involves data entry, inventory management, and meeting production targets in a laboratory environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack, route, and accurately identify specimens for staging
- Pack and ship specimens to appropriate testing facilities
- Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely
- Resolve and document problem specimens; meet department production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Capacity to lift up to 40 pounds
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- 1 year experience in lab, accessioning, or warehouse environment (preferred)
Compensation: $17.75 - $20.00 per hour
