Registered Nurse (RN) - Cath Lab

RN – Interventional Cardiology

Variable shifts, required to take call. Either 8 or 10-hour shifts, 40 hours weekly. Call 1-2 days per week, with weekend call approximately every 2-3 weeks; call includes holidays.

Position is for a healthcare facility specializing in interventional procedures.

Minimum 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab.

Current BLS/BCLS certification.

Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically Meditech.

Familiarity with monitoring equipment, such as Sensis, and knowledge of Siemens equipment.

Demonstrates specialized skills for patients undergoing angiography procedures, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker insertions, and IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) insertion.

Basic understanding of diagnostic and interventional cardiology, cardiovascular, and interventional radiology procedures, along with imaging modalities including CT, MRI, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.

Provide nursing care for patients undergoing interventional and diagnostic cardiology procedures.

Perform hemodynamic monitoring for patients as required.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Maintain knowledge of current practices in cardiovascular and interventional radiology nursing.

Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Assist in the management of medical equipment related to cardiology procedures.
